Terms of Sale

Last updated: 22 October 2026

These terms apply to consumer purchases from Ittar AS through www.ittar.no.

1. The Agreement

The agreement consists of these terms, the information provided about the goods and purchase before ordering, and any specific agreement between the buyer and seller.

Purchases are governed by applicable Norwegian legislation, including the Consumer Purchases Act (forbrukerkjøpsloven), the Right of Withdrawal Act (angrerettloven), the Contracts Act (avtaleloven), the Marketing Control Act (markedsføringsloven) and the E-commerce Act (ehandelsloven).

These terms do not limit rights that consumers have under mandatory legislation. If these terms conflict with such legislation, the legislation takes precedence.

The terms applicable when the order is placed govern that purchase. Later changes do not alter agreements already concluded.

2. Parties and Contact Information

The seller is:
Ittar AS
Romeriksgata 55
2003 Lillestrøm, Norway
Organisation number: 837 346 932
Email: info@ittar.no

Ittar AS is referred to below as “the seller”, “we” or “us”.

The buyer is the consumer placing the order and is referred to as “the buyer” or “you”.

3. Prices and Costs

Prices are stated in Norwegian kroner and include applicable taxes, including Norwegian VAT where payable.

Delivery charges and any other additional costs are disclosed before the order is placed. The total amount payable is shown in the order summary before the buyer completes the purchase.

The buyer is not required to pay additional costs that were not disclosed before the agreement was concluded.

4. Formation of the Agreement

The agreement becomes binding when the seller receives the buyer’s order. An order confirmation is sent by email.

Please check the goods ordered, delivery address and contact details, and notify us promptly of any errors.

An agreement is not binding where a typing or writing error occurred in the offer or order and the other party realised, or should have realised, that an error existed.

The buyer receives these terms, the required withdrawal information and a standard withdrawal form by email or in attachments that can be saved.

5. Payment

Payment is made through Vipps MobilePay using the payment methods available at checkout.

When the buyer authorises payment, the purchase amount is reserved on the buyer’s account or card. The seller charges the amount when the goods are dispatched or handed over to the buyer.

If an order is cancelled before payment is charged, the seller releases the reservation without undue delay. Where payment has already been charged and a refund is due, it is refunded in accordance with the applicable rules.

The buyer’s bank may affect how quickly a released reservation or refund appears in the account.

Ittar does not see or store the buyer’s full payment-card details. These are handled by the payment provider.

6. Delivery

Goods are shipped from Lillestrøm to addresses within Norway.

Items in stock are normally delivered within three working days after the order is received. Any different delivery time is stated before the order is placed.

For launches and preorders, the applicable delivery date or delivery period is stated on the product page or at checkout before purchase.

Where no delivery time has been agreed, goods will be delivered without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the order.

Delivery takes place when the buyer, or a person designated by the buyer other than the carrier, takes possession of the goods.

If we become aware that an agreed delivery time cannot be met, we will notify the buyer as soon as possible and provide updated information. Such notification does not remove the buyer’s rights concerning delay.

7. Risk During Transport

The seller bears the risk of loss or damage until the buyer, or a person designated by the buyer other than the carrier, receives the goods.

This includes transport using any delivery option offered by the seller, regardless of which option the buyer chooses at checkout.

If the buyer engages their own carrier that was not offered by the seller, risk passes to the buyer when the goods are handed over to that carrier.

8. Right of Withdrawal (Angrerett)

Unless the agreement is exempt from the right of withdrawal, the buyer may cancel the purchase of the goods in accordance with the Right of Withdrawal Act. The buyer must notify the seller of the use of the right of withdrawal within 14 days from the day after the goods, along with the required information about the right of withdrawal and a standard cancellation form, are received. This deadline includes all calendar days. If the deadline expires on a Saturday, public holiday, or holiday-equivalent day, the deadline is extended to the next ordinary business day.

The withdrawal deadline is deemed to have been met if notification is sent before the deadline expires. The buyer has the burden of proof that the right of withdrawal has been exercised, and notification should therefore be made in writing (cancellation form, email, or letter) to info@ittar.no.

Perfume that has been opened

The right of withdrawal applies to our perfumes, including when the box or seal has been opened. Opening a perfume or breaking its seal does not by itself remove the right of withdrawal.

The Right of Withdrawal Act has an exception for sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons, where the seal has been broken after delivery. It applies only where the goods actually are unsuitable for return for such reasons. The perfumes in the web shop are not covered by this exception. Should the seller consider that an item is, this will be stated clearly on the shop page before purchase.

Separately, the buyer is liable for any reduction in the value of the goods resulting from handling them in a way other than what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. The buyer may examine the goods much as they would in a physical shop. Any deduction from the refund requires the seller to assess how the goods were actually handled and what loss in value that caused, and the seller must explain the deduction to the buyer. A deduction cannot exceed the actual loss in value.

Withdrawal deadline extension

If the seller has not provided information about the right of withdrawal and the standard cancellation form either before the order was placed or afterwards in accordance with the requirements of the Right of Cancellation Act, the withdrawal deadline is extended to 12 months after the end of the original deadline.

Return of the goods

If the buyer withdraws from the purchase, the goods must be returned to the seller without undue delay and no later than 14 days from notification of the use of the right of withdrawal being given. The buyer bears the direct cost of returning the goods, unless otherwise agreed or the seller has failed to state that the buyer must bear this cost. The seller may not set a fee for the buyer's exercise of the right of withdrawal.

Refund of the purchase amount

Upon withdrawal, the seller must refund all payments received from the buyer without undue delay, and no later than 14 days from the day the seller received notice of the buyer's decision to exercise the right of withdrawal. If the buyer withdraws from the whole purchase, the refund covers both the price of the goods and the original delivery charge for the least expensive standard delivery the seller offered. If the buyer chose a more expensive delivery option than standard delivery, the extra cost of that option is not refunded. The seller may withhold payment until the goods have been received, or until the buyer has submitted documentation that the goods have been sent back. Refunds are made using the same means of payment as the buyer used, unless otherwise agreed.

Standard Cancellation Form

Fill in the fields below if you wish to withdraw from your purchase. When you press the button, your email app will open with a completed cancellation notice, addressed to Ittar, ready for you to review and send. The withdrawal information and this form are also included in the order confirmation you receive by email. You do not have to use the form; an email or letter with the same details is equally valid.

To: Ittar AS, Romeriksgata 55, 2003 Lillestrøm, Norway — info@ittar.no

If nothing opens when you click the button (for example, if you don't have an email app set up on this device), you can send the same details yourself directly to info@ittar.no.

9. Delay and Non-Delivery — Buyer's Rights and Deadlines

If the seller does not deliver the goods, or delivers them late, in accordance with the agreement between the parties, and this is not due to the buyer or circumstances on the buyer's side, the buyer may, in accordance with the rules on delay in the Consumer Purchases Act, withhold payment, demand fulfilment, cancel the agreement, and/or claim compensation from the seller.

In the case of a claim for breach of contract, notice should be given to the seller stating what type of breach is being invoked.

10. Defective Products and Complaints

If your perfume arrives damaged, leaks, has a faulty spray mechanism or otherwise fails to meet the agreed quality, contact info@ittar.no.

Notify us within a reasonable time after discovering the defect; two months from actual discovery is always sufficient. The statutory complaint period is normally two years from delivery, or five years where the product is intended to last substantially longer than two years.

These periods are not a shelf-life guarantee. Normal consumption, damage caused by improper storage, or simply disliking the fragrance do not by themselves constitute a defect.

For justified complaints, we cover necessary return costs and provide repair, replacement or other remedies required by the Norwegian Consumer Purchases Act. Opening the packaging does not remove these rights.

11. Seller's Rights in the Event of Buyer's Breach of Contract

If the buyer does not pay or fulfil the other obligations under the agreement, and this is not due to the seller or circumstances on the seller's side, the seller may, in accordance with the rules of the Consumer Purchases Act, withhold the goods, demand fulfilment of the agreement, demand the agreement be cancelled, as well as claim compensation from the buyer. The seller will also, depending on the circumstances, be able to claim interest on late payment and debt collection fees under the applicable rules.

Uncollected or refused goods

If the buyer does not collect the goods or does not accept them at the agreed delivery, and the goods have to be returned to the seller without the buyer having withdrawn under the right of withdrawal, the seller may claim its actual, documented costs of this. That means the cost of sending the goods to the buyer and of having them returned, for example the carrier's return charge. The seller charges no fixed fee and nothing beyond these costs, and the buyer receives a breakdown of how the amount was calculated before it is claimed. The amount may be deducted from a refund.

12. Warranty

Any warranty given by the seller or the manufacturer to the buyer is in addition to, and does not limit, the rights the buyer already has under mandatory legislation, including the right of complaint under section 10.

13. Personal Data

Unless the buyer consents otherwise, the seller may, in accordance with the Personal Data Act, only collect and store the personal data necessary for the seller to fulfil the agreement. The buyer's personal data will only be disclosed to third parties where necessary for the seller to complete the agreement with the buyer (for example, to Vipps MobilePay for payment processing and to a delivery provider), or where required by law.

What data we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what rights you have are set out in our privacy notice.

14. Dispute Resolution

Complaints should first be sent to Ittar AS at info@ittar.no, within the deadlines set out in sections 9 and 10. The parties shall attempt to resolve any disputes amicably.

If the parties cannot reach agreement, the buyer may refer the matter to the Norwegian Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet) for mediation:
forbrukertilsynet.no/send-sak-til-mekling

If the matter is not resolved through mediation, the buyer may, in cases within the authority of the Consumer Complaints Committee (Forbrukerklageutvalget), ask for the matter to be heard there. Information about the procedure, the conditions for consideration and any case-handling fees is available at www.forbrukertilsynet.no.

The buyer can also get guidance on consumer rights from the Norwegian Consumer Council (Forbrukerrådet) at www.forbrukerradet.no.

The European Commission's directory of approved out-of-court dispute resolution bodies is available here:
consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu/dispute-resolution-bodies

These schemes do not limit the buyer's right to bring the matter before the ordinary courts under the applicable rules.
